These days Mecca witnesses the biggest Muslim spiritual congregation throughout the year where Muslims come from everywhere to perform one of the obligations of Islam. It is pilgrimage to the Kabah, a sacred house that was established long before Islam.

Hajj was prescribed upon Muslims as indicated by the Quran in Allah’s saying,

And Hajj to the House (Kabah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses; and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies], then Allah stands not in need of any of the mankind and all that exists. (Aal `Imran 3:97)

In this video, Dr. Mohammed Salah gives us an introduction about Hajj and goes back to the history of Kabah and who established it. Sheikh Mohammed tackles some important points regarding Hajj such as its obligation, status, pillars, rituals and many other things.

Enjoy watching this video to know more about Hajj and the basic duties included within the rites of Hajj.
