Um Murad says that poverty has always been there.
She also says that some people believe that poverty and difficult social conditions are the root causes of crime.
Could you please tell us more about this?
Well, poverty is always there, but with faith we can minimize its effects.
Faith in Allah, I mean. When man’s ultimate goal is Paradise, they can reach that easily.
So, they perform prayers, fast, give in charity, lower their gaze, and seek knowledge to know more about Allah.
In this case, admittance into Paradise becomes very easy.
When one’s belief in Paradise is firm, worldly life becomes valueless.
So, poverty becomes more bearable.
By the way, there is one more thing!
One should ponder whether Allah honored or disgraced Prophet Muhammad who was poor.
How big was his house? 450 m2? How many vehicles did he have?
How many palaces did he have? He had nothing!
To be able to perform the night prayer, the Prophet nudged `A’ishah to move.
How small was his house!
One should ponder whether Allah honored or disgraced Prophet Muhammad who was poor.
If one’s answer is that Allah disgraced him, then, he a liar.
However, if one’s answer is that Allah honored him, then the rich are disgraced.
Death puts an end to this worldly life.
It doesn’t matter whether you are strong, rich or healthy. Death puts an end to everything.
Are there people who are immortals?
Thus, poverty alone is not the cause of crime, but poverty along with lack of faith may lead to crime.
May Allah reward you the best, dear guest!
There are some poor people whom you can admire because they are content with Allah.
On the other hand, there are some rich people whom you can like because they are humble and helpful.
They can have meals with their workers and solve their problems.
How wonderful! May Allah reward you the best, dear guest!
