O sheikh, someone asking:

What are the seven earths?

Which Allah the Almighty said about them in the Qur’an: “It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them” (At-Talaq: 65:12).

And someone else says: we know from religious texts that the seven heavens are in layers

So are the earths in layers, or are they consist of continents?

As we didn’t find any clear text about this matter, according to our humble understanding.

As for the earths, the prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessing be upon him and his family) told us that they are in layers.

As he said in authentic reports: “He who wrongly took a span of land would be made to wear around his neck seven earths”

Which proves that they are seven earths in layers

And that which are on the top of the upper earth which is our earth, that we are on top of it

Expands to the lowest seventh earth

As for the seven earths being consist of continents, it is not correct.

Because all the continents are on the surface of the earth

Which are on the first upper earth
