Allah the Almighty has chosen a clique from among others to be blessed with performing a greatest worship in Islam, namely Hajj. It is a bounty and generous gift from God to those blessed people. Appreciating that worship is by being keen not to spoil its reward and to be accepted by God (Glory be to Him).

Narrated `Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about this verse,

And those who give that which they give with their hearts full of fear.” (Al-Mu’minun 23:60)

`Aishah said: “Is this the one who commits adultery, steals and drinks alcohol?” The Prophet replied, “No, O daughter of Abu Bakr’ – O daughter of Siddiq. Rather, it is a man who fasts and gives charity and prays, but he fears that those will not be accepted from him.’” (At-Tirmidhi)

They fear that their worship may not be accepted or that their reward is spoiled or diminished for some reason. This is the situation of the true Muslim who recognizes his shortcomings and looks forward to the Hereafter.

Regarding the lessons to be learned from the journey and worship of Hajj, Sheikh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi, talks to us in this interesting video. Indeed, the lessons and fruits of Hajj are many stemming from the significance of this special worship which nurtures the Islamic unity and identity and ties the Muslim back to the rituals and the ancient remains of the Prophets and Messenger of God, to Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him), the Prophet who has built the Kabah and from under the foot of his wife Hajar the well of Zamzam burst out.
